MLA Ltd at Techtextil 2026: Innovation, Inspiration, and Industry Connections

From 21–24 April 2026, Frankfurt once again became the global centre of textile innovation as Techtextil and Texprocess returned to Messe Frankfurt. Bringing together thousands of exhibitors and visitors from more than 50 countries, the event showcased the very latest in technical textiles, nonwovens, processing technologies, and sustainable solutions.

This year, MLA Ltd was represented by Aimee Duclos and Zara Hale, who spent the day exploring the vast halls, meeting new suppliers, and gathering insights into the future of technical textiles.

Q&A With Aimee and Zara

To capture the experience first‑hand, we asked Aimee and Zara to share their thoughts from the show.

1. What was your highlight from the event?

Aimee & Zara: The highlight was the purpose really - getting to meet so many new textile manufacturers, understanding what they offer, and building new contacts.

2. Anything that stood out as inspiration?

Yes, absolutely. Many exhibitors had strong offerings we could potentially use in future projects. As most were vertical manufacturers, they explained that they could even tweak fabrics to our specifications if needed, which opens up exciting possibilities.

3. How important do events like this remain for keeping up with the market?

Super important! We didn’t realise this show existed until recently, but it only happens every two years and it’s where the latest innovations in technical textiles are launched. It’s huge.  There were seven halls in total. Next time, we’ll need more time because it’s such a global event.

4. If you had to sum up the exhibition in one sentence, what would it be?

It’s the place to be for the latest innovations in the technical textile world.

5. Would you recommend attending next time, and why?

Yes! We want to reconnect with new contacts, spend more time there, and hopefully see even more innovations. The whole market is waiting for a better solution to replace forever chemicals used in FR protection, so keeping an eye on shows like this helps us stay in the loop.

Looking Ahead

Techtextil 2026 reaffirmed its role as a vital meeting point for researchers, designers, engineers, and buyers across the textile and apparel sectors. For MLA Ltd, it was an invaluable opportunity to explore new materials, strengthen supplier relationships, and stay ahead of emerging trends; especially in areas like sustainability, performance textiles, and chemical‑free protection technologies.
